Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 July 2026
Overview
Privacy is a core value at LODY. We are building a focused alternative to large corporate trackers that use broad data collection to profile people across the internet. LODY is designed to help site operators understand activity in their own products while encouraging deliberate, limited collection of useful data.
LODY provides website and product analytics technology. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit lodycdp.com and when a website or application uses the LODY tracker. A site using LODY is responsible for its own privacy notices, consent choices, and instructions about how it uses collected information.
Information collected
Depending on how LODY is used, the service may receive:
- page paths, referrer information, event names, and event properties selected by the site operator;
- browser request information such as IP address, user agent, accepted language, origin, and timestamps;
- a first-party browser identifier stored in a cookie named
hit; and - derived technical information, which may include approximate country, network provider, software platform, and hardware platform.
Site operators control the custom events and properties they send to LODY. They should not send passwords, payment card details, authentication tokens, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
How information is used
Information may be used to:
- provide page-view and event analytics to the relevant site operator;
- understand product usage and customer journeys;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the LODY service; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and prevent misuse.
Cookies
The LODY tracker creates the hit
cookie on the site where the tracker is installed. It is scoped to that site's domain and is used to recognize
the same browser on later requests. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may
limit LODY's ability to associate activity across visits.
Legal basis and choices
The legal basis for analytics depends on the site operator, your location, and how the tracker is configured. Where consent is required, the site operator should load LODY only after that consent is given. To withdraw consent or exercise rights relating to activity on another site, contact that site's operator first because it determines why the information is collected.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by infrastructure and technical service providers that help operate LODY, and may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users. LODY does not use customer analytics data for unrelated advertising.
Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide and protect the service, meet contractual commitments, and satisfy legal requirements. Appropriate technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than the one where it was collected. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information, or to request a portable copy. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
Right to be forgotten
You may request deletion of personal information associated with you by emailing the address in the Contact section with the subject “Right to be forgotten.” Please include enough information to locate the relevant records, such as the website or application involved and the approximate dates of your activity, but do not email passwords or other sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We will delete eligible information unless it must be retained for a legal, security, or legitimate operational reason.
If the information was collected through another website or application, contact its operator as well. That operator determines why the information is collected and may need to authorize or perform the deletion.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as LODY develops or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published.
